This established area became an official part of Edmonton in 1912, but fuller development was not begin until the 1950's. The Mall provides many indoor entertainments, yet, Bonnie Doon is popular with outdoor enthusiasts as well. Along with wilderness trails through Mill Creek Ravine, the nearby Muttart Conservatory is also a popular spot for family day trips and cultural recreation.
