Inglewood is one of the larger communities in the greater Westmount area and is located somewhat centrally and to the east side of this district. This neighborhood was actually incorporated into the city in two parts, with a portion of Inglewood becoming the property of Edmonton at the beginning of the 1900's and the rest gaining appropriation several decades later. Although development occurred in very distinct stages, the community bears a relatively uniform grid pattern street plan.
