The Hamptons is one of the more established neighborhoods in the greater Grange area, with construction beginning as early as 2000. Although there is still active development within this sector, the street plan, services, and many of the residences are already in place and this gives inhabitants the foundation of an integrated living space that is welcoming and family friendly.

Area shopping is on the eastern border of the community at the Hampton Landing, and a number of bus stops within the development connect with adjacent communities and the downtown Edmonton areas.
