The King Edward Park neighborhood is found in the northeast corner of the greater Millcreek area and is bordered by 82nd Avenue to the north and the main thoroughfare of 75th Street to the east. Although urban grid street patterns are used throughout the section, wooded lots and tree-lined streets give the King Edward Park development a far more small-town feel. This neighborhood is also very pedestrian friendly, with well-maintained sidewalks and roadways.

Homes for sale in King Edward Park include primarily single-family dwellings, with some duplexes. These are mostly older construction, and architectural styles range from modern colonial to some mock Tudor. For many families in King Edward Park, private lots are a big draw, as are the smaller community parks and the proximity to Mill Creek Ravine. The nature preserve has trails and hiking and is also the location of Donnan Arena for skating and league events.

Educational institutions in King Edward Park include St. James School, Edmonton Catholic Schools, and the Donnan School. Consumer and business areas are found along the 82nd Avenue border, and this includes a larger shopping centre to the east. Residents can use bus stops throughout King Edward Park to travel into adjoining suburbs, and also connect with University LRT station which is several kilometers to the west.
